An online space of Earth Communion - Each month + season we listen + attune to the rhythms of the Earth with the plants in meditation, practices, medicine making, ritual, study, and simply listening + being in relationship. In turn may we receive deep nourishment, grounding, and connection to self + community + our beyond human-kin.

NOVEMBER
A Golden Descent
Saffron
The Saffron flower blooms briefly in Autumn. Her purple crocus flowers open for only a short time, and within them, precious red stigmas are gathered by hand. Then the flowers disappear, the harvest comes to a close, and the land continues its movement toward Winter.
As we move deeper into the descent of Fall, November brings us into a time of gathering. After the clearing, shedding, and cutting back, Saffron invites us to turn toward what is precious — what we want to savor, tend carefully, and carry with us into the darker months.
This month we’ll spend time with Saffron, allowing her medicine to warm the heart, open us to the gems within, quiet the nervous system, uplift the spirit, and bring us into the beauty of her ancient story. We’ll connect with the energies of the Sun that Saffron carries, and gather on Sundays to welcome in a Golden Descent.

As we move deeper into winter, December invites us into a different kind of listening. This month we’ll turn toward the trees — ancient beings rooted in place, offering medicine through their wood, resins, roots, smoke, and scent.
Through plant meditation, herbalism, resin + smoke practices, scent, myth + story, we’ll explore the many ways trees have accompanied human ritual, prayer, ceremony, and communion. We’ll spend time with the aromatic resins of trees, exploring scent as a medicine and as a way of remembering, attuning, and creating relationship. Together we’ll slow down, listen through the body, and kindle our connection with the trees and the more-than-human world as we enter the deepest darkness of the year.

Warming + Dreaming Plants
As we enter the heart of winter, January invites us to gather around the hearth — to slow down, nourish ourselves deeply, and make space for dreaming. Rather than beginning the year by asking ourselves to become more, what if we allowed ourselves to be deeply nourished?
This month we’ll spend time with warming + dreaming plants, exploring their medicines through tea, herbalism, ritual, and rest. We’ll work with spices, oils, nourishing foods, and practices that bring warmth to the body and create space for restoration and inner listening. Together we’ll enter the quiet of winter, tending the inner hearth and allowing ourselves to rest, replenish, and dream into what is waiting to emerge.
