MEDICINE: Lotus Golden Body Oil

This month we open to the touch of Lotus through Blue Lotus infused Oil with golden Micca. Feeling the medicine of Lotus infused into the fat of the Olives of the oil that delivers us medicine for the nervous system, lymphatic system, musculoskeletal system, & immune system. An ancient form of plant medicine and a practice of self-care.

We welcome in this medicinal Lotus oil to awaken our inner fires, warm the body, and tend to ourselves through times of transformation, shedding, release, and death. Through physical touch, we get the stagnation of the body moving, activated, and flowing to open + release.

A special aspect of herbal oiling is feeling as though you are coated in a protective aura of Lotus that surrounds you and carries with you. I love to use Lotus Oil as a balm for the places on my body that need a little extra nourishment and love to carry me through.

What is Lotus Oil feel like on your skin?

When you do feel Called to oil?

What place on your body calls to be caressed and anointed most?

  • - Dive into a full body oiling ritual after you have a shower/bath. Lay a towel down and sit atop. Start at your feet and massage your entire body with Lotus Oil. Receive, be coated, move the muscles and body, connect with the self.

    - Anoint with the Oil as you feel called to. Maybe each morning or with your meditation practice, or at times you feel moved to.

    - Belly Massage: Activating the fires, moving the digestive system.
    Oil your hands, place them on the top of your stomach above your belly button - move with both hands fingertips to the left, down and around in a circle.
    Do this for a little while, get things moving, flowing, opening. Awakening the fires within.
    Use some pressure and really massage in there.

  • Using Dried Whole Flowers or Petals:
    - Fill a glass jar 1/3 with dried lotus flower.
    - Fill with oil of your choice to the top.
    - Place a lid on and give a good shake.
    - Label your jar with the ingredients and date.
    - Let infuse for 4-6 weeks or one moon cycle. Occasionally giving your jar a shake.
    - Strain with cheesecloth or strainer. Bottle and enjoy <3

    Offer your intentions to the oil and plant as you alchemize together.
    Call in Lotus spirit and the spirit of the plant oil you may use. Offering your gratitude and presence in exchange.

MEDICINE: The Cosmic Egg

“The egg’s shell bifurcates, like two bowls, into earth and sky; the yolk is the sun. It is a primal scene: an ovum in a sea of sperm; the daily birth of the sun out of eastern waters massaged by the wind; breath/spirit moving with the waters of life, and light emerging, making form visible; the opening of an eye.”

The egg is the mysterious “center” around which unconscious energies move in spiral-like evolutions, gradually bringing the vital substance to light. It is also the creative “fire-point” within ourselves, the “soul in the midpoint of the heart,” the quintessence or golden germ that is set in motion be the hen’s warmth of our devoted attention.” - The Book of Symbols

  • If it resonates with you, inviting you to work with the Egg Limpia this month that we do in our first ritual together. Turning to this practice to clear the dust as we begin to shed and attune to a new season, and perhaps a new version of self that wishes to emerge, a rebirth. This clearing practice alongside Lotus can help usher us through.

  • Come as you are - in comfortable / loose / minimal clothing for the egg limpia. or you can strip away layers as we clear + oil.
